Choose a meaningful reference
Set a per-million-token reference price on a virtual model. The ledger compares successful recorded tokens with that administrator-entered price. No reference price means no claimed savings. This is an estimate relative to a benchmark, not an invoice or proof that you would have paid it.

- Fourteen UTC day bars.
- Per-key and per-harness splits.
- Frozen reference savings on each request so later price changes do not rewrite those entries.
A schema upgrade performs a one-time backfill using the current model reference price. Retention affects the available history.
